The word ‘shaman’ comes from the Tungus people of Siberia. Shamanism is an ancient cross cultural world-wide phenomenon spanning throughout indigenous cultures and has been practiced for over 50,000 years.

Shamans have the ability to communicate with the Earth and all upon her, flora, fauna, animate and inanimate. They are the keepers of the ancient ‘techniques’.

Shamans move into an altered state with the use of rhythmic drumming or rattle, entering into uninhibited space and time to acquire power and knowledge, bringing healing to themselves and others. They believe that everything which is, is alive. Shamanism is a non-religious spiritual ecological practice without hierarchy.

What to expect

Shamanic Counselling
You will be guided step by step in the art of Journeying, to travel to the Upper and Lower Worlds where you will meet with spirit guides (who will show themselves in the form of Beings and Animals. You will discover the strong bond you have with each spirit guide whilst listening to any messages or gifts they have to offer. The tool of Journeying can then be used for self-empowerment, guidance, healing, clarity, friendship, whenever you feel the need for help and guideance.
(six sessions over a period of 6-12 weeks)

Soul Retrieval / Extraction Work (& Power Animal Retrieval)
Sometimes a client will feel low in energy or ‘out of sorts’ with themselves. The shaman will journey to find the source of this dis-ease:-

Soul Retrieval is where a Soul part (healthy energy) has left the client through shock or trauma, such as the loss of a loved one, abuse, accidents etc. The shaman will journey to retrieve and bring the missing healthy Soul part back to the client. This can be a life changing experience.

A Power Animal is an animal which can stay with you for a lifetime (a little similar to Philip Pullman's fantasy character Lyra and her Daemon Pan in the Golden Compass), it may stay with you for a prolonged period in your life or just long enough to help you through a situation.

Extraction Work (& Power Animal Retrieval)
Energy may be stuck within a client, causing a block and lethargy or any number of discomforts. The Shaman extracts any unwanted energy which is stopping the client feeling at optimum health. A Power Animal is retrieved during the healing, enabling the client to call upon this tool for strength and guidance in times of need.

Psycho Pomp
The Shaman will be working intimately with those who are terminally ill, assisting them to move forward from the physical world into that of Spirit, guiding and nurturing the client in a peaceful and compassionate way. Please contact the practitioner for detailed information regarding the above.

Psycho Pomp – ‘Sacred Space’
It is also known for a shaman to work with buildings where Spirit may need assistance moving into the next stage of their Journey, or to bless a property using drum, rattle, voice and sacred smoke.
